   DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.
Times may be tough, but car owner Richard Childress may be tougher. He's seen hard times before.
And Friday the veteran NASCAR team owner announced signing yet another new sponsor, this one insurance giant The Hartford (NYSE: HIG).
Insurance companies are already playing a significant role in NASCAR sponsorships, with Geico, State Farm and Aflac on cars.
Childress' newest partner will be the primary sponsor for Clint Bowyer at three Cup events, at Dover, Del., Loudon, N.H., and Pocono, Pa. It will also be an associate with the Childress-Jeff Burton car.
No terms were released. The Childress move is another example of team owners using multiple sponsorships on individual teams.
