NASCAR 2014: Here, finally, are some of the dates

  LOUDON, N.H.
  NASCAR'S 2014 Sprint Cup tour is finally starting to take shape, it appears, with Darlington Raceway officially announcing its Southern 500 again on Mother's Day weekend Saturday, May 10th.

  Atlanta Motor Speedway is also announcing its 2014 Sprint Cup race date, Sunday, August 31.
  And Texas Motor Speedway appears ready to announce its 2014 Cup dates too this weekend. Track boss Eddie Gossage says he'll reveal his 2014 dates Monday evening.
   "We have made some big announcements in the past, but this one surpasses them all," Gossage said. "There are so many exciting new things in store for 2014 that fans will want to be sure and tune in."
   Here is ticket info on the Southern 500 next spring.
   NASCAR's 2014 tour calendar has been the subject of debate the past few weeks, because it's been late in release.

  The sanctioning body traditionally lets each track announce its Sprint Cup date before releasing the full schedule.

I don't see anything that can beat that. Stealing thunder from F1 no doubt in November. This year's USGP in Austin is held on the same day Homestead is raced. November 17th.

I really like to see Road America get a Cup date , or even give a cup date to Iowa, replacing Fall Texas race adding that race to the chase, so it can have another night race , and televised on broadcast tv on ABC . Keep Homestead for the season finale , and add a Road America, to replacing New Hampshire.

YOU HAVE GREAT WEATHER THAT TIME OF YEAR. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE PHX THE LAST RACE AND I THINK YOU WOULD SEE PEOPLE COME OUT TO THE RACE IN PHX
AND THEN GO TO LAS VEGAS FOR CHAMPION WEEK ALL IN ONE.
