ABC's Texas 500 coverage Sunday picked up a big boost in the final national ratings over the big-city overnights, and the Busch-versus-Busch battle
earned a 3.7 rating, the same as the fall race drew in 2008 and 2007.
The network says that means the broadcast averaged 5,826,842 viewers over the 3-1/2 hours.
Texas' Saturday Nationwide race, won by Kyle Busch, pulled a .9 rating on ESPN2, down considerably from last year's 1.2. ABC/ESPN says that means the telecast averaged, 1,152,187 viewers.
Texas' spring races tend to do much better in ratings: the 2007 race pulled a 5.6 rating; the 2008 race, a 5.4; this year's, a 4.7.
